Morning at the ICE! exhibit — ice sculptures kept at 9°F, an enormous walk-through holiday scene that has become one of Nashville's signature attractions. Midday on the General Jackson Showboat for a Christmas lunch cruise on the Cumberland River with live music.
Resort Day & The Grand Ole Opry
A free morning to enjoy the resort itself — the gardens, the shops, the holiday programming. Reserved seating in the evening at the Grand Ole Opry for the iconic country music live broadcast.

Yes — the Opry has been broadcasting live every weekend for nearly a century. You'll be part of the audience for the actual show.
How cold is the ICE! exhibit?
Nine degrees Fahrenheit. The exhibit provides parkas, but wear warm shoes and gloves of your own. Time inside is moderate — long enough to see everything, not so long that you freeze.
Are the rooms at the resort right in the atrium?
Most rooms at Gaylord Opryland have a balcony overlooking one of the atriums or the river. Specific room assignments are made by the resort. The setting is what makes this trip.
